OSRS Combat Calc has no user accounts, sells no personal information and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
What information we collect
OSRS Combat Calc collects 2 types of information: messages you send us and standard hosting logs.
- Contact messages contain your name, email address and message text. The contact page opens a draft in your own email app, and your email provider delivers it to us.
- Hosting logs contain your IP address, the page address you requested, your browser type and a timestamp. Cloudflare, Inc., our hosting provider, records these logs to deliver pages and block attacks.
What stays on your device
Your skill levels, planner settings and saved builds stay in your browser’s local storage and never reach our servers.
The site stores 3 items in local storage: your current skill levels, your planner settings and your saved builds. Exported build files save to your device. Importing a build file reads the file inside your browser. Clearing this website’s data in your browser settings deletes all 3 items.
Build links
A shared build link contains your 7 skill levels in its web address.
Anyone with the link can read those levels. Web addresses appear in browser history, hosting logs and every app where you paste them. Use neutral build names, and never put passwords or account details in a build name.
Cookies and tracking
OSRS Combat Calc sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking.
Cloudflare can set strictly necessary security cookies to separate real visitors from bots. Fonts and artwork load from our own server, not from third-party services. The site tracks no one across websites, so browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals change nothing here.
How we use your information
We use personal information for 3 purposes:
- Replying to your message.
- Fixing calculation errors you report.
- Keeping the site secure and available.
Who receives your information
We do not sell or share personal information, as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) defines “sell” and “share”.
2 service providers handle data for us: Cloudflare hosts the site, and our email provider stores contact messages. We disclose information to authorities only when US law requires it.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages for up to 12 months after the related issue closes, then delete them.
Cloudflare keeps hosting logs for the period its own privacy policy sets. Local storage data stays on your device until you delete it.
Your privacy rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
Residents of US states with privacy laws, including California, Virginia, Colorado and Texas, hold these rights by law. We answer every request within 45 days and treat you the same whether or not you use these rights. Send privacy requests through the contact page.
Children’s privacy
OSRS Combat Calc is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Contact us, if a child under 13 has sent us personal information, and we will delete the information.
Security and changes
The site serves every page over an encrypted HTTPS connection, but no internet service is completely secure.
Keep exported build files private, if they identify you. We update this policy when the site changes, and the “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
